This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Support and minimize organizational losses while maximizing profits within the designated geographic area.
• Oversee internal and external theft prevention initiatives.
• Establish collaborative partnerships with field management.
• Ensure consistency in the execution of policies, procedures, and standards for profits, asset protection, and safety.
• Address issues in underperforming stores with decreasing revenues and profits, rising accident rates, and signs of theft, violence, or negative behaviors.
• Implement the loss prevention Risk Index, along with store visits and audit processes.
• Conduct investigations and surveillance related to potential losses, issues, or deficiencies.
• Document findings, recommendations, and actions taken during case investigations.
• Monitor and report on loss trends and opportunities for loss avoidance.
• Evaluate, audit, and oversee physical security features in stores.
• Participate in business meetings to identify struggling stores utilizing the Risk Index.
• Carry out store visits, DVR reviews, and audits.
• Document and communicate trends in loss prevention and safety, along with action plans.
• Audit store safety standards and identify potential losses or deficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with the Joint Health and Safety Committee Program.
• Assist in the implementation of necessary safety training and the Safety Poster program.
• Monitor and report on safety improvement plans, their execution, status, and opportunities.
• Travel approximately 75%, primarily within the local area, using a personal vehicle.
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and industry standards.
• Credentials in investigation and interrogation, certification, or equivalent experience.
• More than 5 years of experience in a multi-unit loss prevention role across a wide geographic area.
• Proven track record of achieving key performance metrics.
• Proficient and adaptable with technology.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.
• Sound judgment and initiative.
• Ability to respectfully challenge and influence stakeholders.
• Capability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
• Ability to frequently lift items weighing less than 5 lbs and occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
• Use of a personal vehicle is mandatory.
• Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to hear and communicate verbally with management, team members, and customers.
