Architectural Joinery CAD Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Create precise technical CAD drawings for custom cabinetry, architectural joinery, and interior fit-out projects.

• Generate comprehensive construction drawings, sections, and elevations.

• Comprehend the manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes of bespoke joinery components.

• Aid in converting design concepts into viable, buildable technical solutions.

• Investigate materials, construction techniques, and technical specifications for distinctive projects.

• Collaborate with the broader team to achieve project deadlines.

• Gradually take charge of technical drawing packages and work autonomously.

• Contribute to the creation of detailed drawings for luxury interior projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in joinery, cabinetry, furniture design, or interior fit-out.

• Proficient in CAD and 3D design software.

• Strong grasp of cabinet construction, joinery techniques, and technical detailing.

• Capability to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings.

• Awareness of interior architecture and bespoke furniture design.

• Exceptional attention to detail and time management abilities.

• Openness to learning, following guidance, and adapting to new work methodologies.

• A degree or relevant qualification in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Furniture Design, or a related field is preferred.

• A background in cabinet-making or practical joinery, coupled with CAD experience, is highly valued.

• Practical knowledge of construction.

• Eagerness to learn and research technical solutions for custom projects.
