This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Install, configure, and upgrade ArcGIS Enterprise in both single-machine and multi-machine environments, as well as in highly available architectures.
• Provision and configure cloud services on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud for enterprise GIS deployments and applications focused on data.
• Deploy and manage enterprise geodatabases within PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including patching the OS and ArcGIS Enterprise, applying security updates, renewing certificates, and updating licenses annually.
• Monitor infrastructure using Zabbix and ArcGIS Monitor, set up proactive alerts, and respond to incidents to guarantee system uptime.
• Support managed services operations across multiple client environments concurrently, which includes maintenance windows, after-hours patching, and adherence to response SLAs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their system requirements, communicate project progress, and provide hands-on troubleshooting and assistance.
• Work alongside project managers, developers, and GIS analysts to ensure that infrastructure design aligns with application needs, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Aid in business development by engaging in sales discovery, implementation, and estimating recurring infrastructure costs.
• 3–6 years of experience in installing, managing, and upgrading ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Proficient understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, including federation, server roles, and licensing models.
• Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot complex issues in collaboration with DevOps engineers, developers, GIS analysts, and QA, while effectively communicating findings to business stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS, geography, data science, or a related discipline.
• Must possess legal eligibility to work in the United States without restrictions.
• Preferred: experience in deploying AWS and/or Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, load balancers, database services, and network infrastructure.
• Preferred: experience in managing relational databases.
• Preferred: certifications from Esri, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Preferred: residing in the Mountain or Pacific time zones.
