Arborist Trainee – Climber

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Manual removal of vegetation from designated work sites.

• Application of pesticides as needed.

• Safe operation of various forestry machinery, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs.

• Conducting line clearance, pruning, and tree removals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be available to work 45 hours per week.

• Minimum age of 18 years with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.

• A current and valid driver’s license is required, along with reliable transportation.

• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

• Must be physically capable of fulfilling the job requirements (e.g., walking on uneven terrain, lifting 75 lbs).

• Willingness to work at different heights.

• Must be eager to learn how to operate a bucket truck and use equipment safely.

• Must be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license.

• Must be prepared to acquire and maintain any necessary licenses and certifications as required for career advancement.

• Must successfully complete a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, as well as background and motor vehicle checks.
