Arborist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Operating and driving a bucket truck.

• Leading a team of 2 to 3 individuals.

• Manually clearing vegetation from designated work areas.

• Safely handling various forestry tools such as woodchippers, giraffes, hydraulic machinery, bucket trucks, and chainsaws.

• Executing line clearance, pruning, and removals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months of experience as a bucket foreman is required.

• Previous experience in the Tree Industry with a strong safety record is essential.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• A current and valid driver’s license along with reliable transportation is mandatory.

• Ability to work 45 hours per week is required.

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role (e.g., walking on uneven terrain, lifting 75 lbs).

• Willingness and ability to learn to operate a bucket truck at heights of 75 ft. and to use all equipment safely.

• Eagerness to learn how to climb trees using the appropriate tools of the trade.

• Successful completion of an Electrical Hazards certification within 30 days is required.

• Attainment of Arborist trainee OTM level within 60 days (supervisor approval needed).

• Willingness and ability to obtain a Class 3 Driver's License (cost covered by Lucas Tree Experts).

• Commitment to obtain and maintain licenses and certifications required for career advancement (cost covered by Lucas Tree Experts).

• Ability to successfully pass a post-offer physical and drug screening, as well as a background and motor vehicle check.

• A clean safety record is a must.
