AQA Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Create and develop a scalable Automated Quality Assurance (AQA) framework from the ground up, including architecture, best practices, and tools.

• Establish and execute a comprehensive testing strategy across API, UI, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) levels.

• Lead and mentor a team of AQA engineers, perform code reviews, and promote technical excellence.

• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring stability and rapid execution.

• Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams.

• Analyze, identify, and resolve flaky tests.

• Enhance test performance and reduce execution time.

• Develop and uphold QA standards, guidelines, and processes.

• Work with asynchronous systems and event-driven architectures, such as Kafka.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in automated testing.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a Lead or Tech Lead position.

• Demonstrated experience in building AQA frameworks from scratch.

• In-depth knowledge of **C# and .NET (6/7/8)**.

• Solid understanding of **OOP, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture**.

• Experience in designing test architectures for API, UI, integration, and E2E testing.

• Practical experience with **Docker and Kubernetes**.

• Familiarity with API testing using **HttpClient, RestSharp**, or similar tools.

• Strong grasp of REST, HTTP, contracts, and response validation.

• Experience in UI automation utilizing **Playwright (.NET)**.

• Understanding of browser behavior, wait strategies, and anti-flaky techniques.

• Experience working with **NUnit or xUnit**.

• Knowledge of **FluentAssertions** or similar libraries.

• Capability to create reusable components (clients, builders, fixtures).

• Experience in integrating tests with **GitLab CI**.

• Understanding of parallel test execution.

• Experience in organizing test suites and tags (smoke, regression, integration).

• Familiarity with databases (**SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar**).

• Ability to write queries for data validation purposes.

• Experience in conducting code reviews.

• Ability to define and uphold automation standards.

• Experience in analyzing and resolving flaky tests.

• Proficiency in optimizing test execution speed.

• Experience with asynchronous requests.

• Familiarity with **Kafka**.

• Experience leading AQA teams.

• Strong mentoring and coaching abilities.

• **Nice to Have**: Experience in developing QA metrics (coverage, stability, efficiency).

• Experience with performance or contract testing.
