Appraisal Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Support on-site property inspections.

• Conduct a thorough final review of appraisal reports and client deliverables to ensure compliance with USPAP.

• Assess the descriptions of the subject property site, physical improvements, and surrounding areas noted during inspections.

• Create necessary exhibits and memos to illustrate inspection findings.

• Travel regularly to on-site properties based on assigned work requests; travel accounts for over 50% of monthly duties.

• Oversee travel arrangements and manage related expense reports.

• Attend internal and external client meetings as required.

• Foster relationships with market and business line leaders to share best practices, drive innovation, and maintain quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a permanent resident of Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, or the Florida panhandle.

• Possess an active Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in at least one state, with a willingness to acquire licenses in additional states.

• An active Certified General Appraiser License is mandatory; applicants without a CG license will not be considered.

• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• MAI designation or candidacy is preferred.

• Strategic knowledge of commercial real estate appraisal is essential.

• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel easily between states is required.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent time/calendar management skills are desired.

• Prior experience and proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Outlook and Teams, are necessary.

• Must communicate effectively in person, via telephone, and through email.

• Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.

• Ability to travel to asset tours by driving; airline travel may also be needed.

• Visual acuity sufficient to perform job duties, including reading printed materials and computer screen information.
