This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, finance, and executive stakeholders to effectively transform ambiguous and intricate business inquiries into clearly defined, actionable analytical challenges, anticipating organizational requirements before they are explicitly communicated.
• Design and conduct thorough experimental and quasi-experimental analyses (e.g., Difference-in-Differences, propensity score methods) to assess promotions, measure causal effects, and model category economics such as price elasticity and impacts of regulatory taxes.
• Create and manage extensive, complex commercial datasets utilizing SQL and dbt on BigQuery, and develop, implement, and oversee robust market-share and demand forecasting models that inform seven-figure decisions.
• Construct predictive models and performance metrics that guide field operations, directly influencing how field sales managers allocate their time to maximize store-level value.
• Implement LLMs and AI agents to categorize unstructured commercial data (e.g., receipts, transactions) and develop internal tools that democratize data access, empowering stakeholders to independently address their inquiries.
• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write models that are accurate, efficient, and maintainable.
• A solid analytical and statistical background.
• Experience in experimental design and causal inference, with the capability to distinguish genuine results from artifacts of data selection.
• Proficient in Python for analysis (including pandas and the surrounding ecosystem).
• Ability to link data to commercial realities and effectively communicate insights with key stakeholders.
• Skilled in utilizing AI tools to enhance personal productivity and create tools for others.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building analyses and models within the industry.
• Preferred experience with commercial, retail, CPG, or syndicated market data (Circana, NielsenIQ, IRI, POS, or scan data).
• Preferred ability to approach analytics engineering with an emphasis on version control, testing, documentation, and codebase hygiene.
