Applied Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the onboarding and deployment process starting from day one after closing.

• Encourage customers to engage with and utilize the product effectively.

• Develop production-quality code as necessary.

• Quickly resolve any customer issues to ensure a smooth experience.

• Enhance adoption beyond the initial champion or advocate.

• Serve as the technical consultant that customers reach out to prior to escalating issues.

• Relay deployment and adoption insights back to the Product and Engineering teams.

• Assist in defining what exemplary technical execution looks like after the sale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, or modern cloud data warehouse platforms.

• Knowledge of dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Looker, or similar tools is highly desirable.

• Proficient in writing Python and SQL, as well as working with REST APIs in customer settings.

• Experience managing technical relationships with enterprise clients.

• Ability to lead discussions with data engineers and provide concise status updates to a VP.

• Proven track record of guiding customers from signed contracts to live implementation and successful adoption.

• Experience in environments where established playbooks were not available.

• Familiarity with concepts related to data quality, pipeline monitoring, or incident response is a considerable advantage.
