This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Evaluate customer needs and create customized energy infrastructure solutions that include batteries, BMS, inverters, transformers, protection systems, EMS, and SCADA.
• Offer technical solutions and market insights across utility-scale, commercial and industrial, telecommunications, and utility sectors.
• Articulate the advantages of Eos energy storage for applications such as peak shifting/shaving, long-duration dispatch, ancillary services, micro-grid systems, and renewable firming/smoothing.
• Collaborate with Sales and internal technical teams to craft technical responses for RFQs and RFPs.
• Ensure proper transition of customer orders to project management.
• Collect feedback regarding product performance, quality, documentation, and customer satisfaction, and communicate this to technical teams.
• Facilitate pipeline conversion by cultivating technical advocates within key accounts and supporting the wider market.
• Employ procedures, tools, and best practices to enhance the technical pre-sales organization.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments in energy storage, providing both regional and global insights.
• Maintain competitive intelligence regarding battery technologies and solution providers.
• Contribute to product manuals and data sheets.
• Create layouts and coordinate quotes and technical supplements from third-party vendors.
• Position Eos products and system designs competitively to increase the likelihood of success.
• Visit customer or partner sites, including offices, manufacturing floors, laboratories, and construction sites.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy storage or related electrical infrastructure is required.
• Experience in full storage system design, implementation, construction, and commissioning is preferred.
• Technical expertise in the energy infrastructure market is essential.
• An electrical engineering background with a solid understanding of battery technologies and their technical/commercial differentiators is necessary.
• Proficiency with DraftSight is strongly preferred.
• A strong grasp of distributed and utility-scale energy infrastructure markets, relevant customers, and technology providers is important.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial.
• Capability to conduct technical evaluations in energy infrastructure applications is necessary.
• A strong compliance culture, enthusiasm for technical aspects, and self-motivation are expected.
• Fluent English proficiency (both written and spoken) is required.
• Willingness and capability to travel locally and overnight throughout North America is necessary.
• Ability to work in office, factory, and customer/partner environments is required.
• Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time and occasionally move within an office setting.
• Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally in an office environment and up to 50 pounds in a factory environment is required.
• Ability to utilize necessary safety equipment, such as eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and lab coats in factory settings is essential.
• Overnight/North America travel: 10–25%.
