This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• The main responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
• User Management: Offer technical assistance to Sales, Business Users, Institutional, and Retail customers, with an emphasis on application support, API support, and network connectivity.
• Incident Management: Identify and resolve production incidents. This role necessitates comprehensive ownership of production issues, collaborating with various technical and business support teams, and ensuring timely escalation and resolution of incidents.
• Process Management: Take charge of all release activities, engage in audit reviews, and carry out BCP exercises. Ensure that Process Management adheres to ITIL best practice standards, SLA, and client expectations.
• Operations Management: Oversee and automate application and infrastructure alerts to guarantee prompt actions are taken to sustain system stability and uptime for all applications. Maintain a knowledge repository and standard operating procedure documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement, implement process optimizations, automate manual tasks, and elevate the service level provided to end users.
• A minimum of 2 years of production support experience, preferably in the Banking or Financial Services sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in UNIX commands for debugging, SQL, and Bash/Python scripting. **Prior experience supporting FIX protocol and APIs is essential.**
• A robust technical understanding of Linux/Java-based systems, coupled with exposure to Cloud Technology and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring, visualization, and scheduling tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Control-M, ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, or similar utilities.
• Service-oriented with strong incident management and troubleshooting abilities. ITIL certification is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Capable of effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders and interfacing teams in a clear and concise manner.
• Required experience in supporting Trading Systems (OMS/EMS) with exposure to Equities, Derivatives, FX, or Cryptocurrency Trading domains.
• Ability to work effectively under high pressure, manage multiple priorities, remain results-driven with attention to detail, and meet demanding deadlines.
• A self-starter who can quickly grasp new concepts, business areas, and technologies.
