Application Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the ES solution architecture, which includes functional design, data structures, constraint models, integrations, and system behavior. Collaborate closely with the Solution Architect, when available, to ensure coherence with the comprehensive end-to-end solution architecture.

• In ES-only implementations, act as the main solution architect for the project.

• Lead detailed scheduling blueprint sessions that convert manufacturing requirements into scalable configurations, establishing heuristics, dispatch rules, look-ahead behavior, changeover logic, and constraint-resolution strategies for intricate production settings.

• Identify potential risks throughout the project lifecycle and create mitigation strategies to ensure successful implementations.

• Diagnose complex scheduling behaviors and address data configuration issues, delivering root-cause analysis and suggesting suitable configuration patterns.

• Provide functional leadership and assist in overcoming complex supply chain challenges, offering implementation support.

• Mentor and provide technical oversight to consultants and partners regarding solution quality, scheduling implementation techniques, repeatable architectural patterns, and best practices for deployment, while managing the delegation of configuration tasks.

• Work in collaboration with Product teams on feature deficiencies, capability enhancements, and areas needing architectural direction, while contributing to roadmap discussions through customer insights and best practices in solutions.

• Assist in services sales opportunities by clearly communicating solution approaches and their value to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of extensive experience in software implementation consulting within the supply chain planning or execution domains, including a minimum of 3 years as a solution architect or lead functional consultant for enterprise-scale supply chain transformation initiatives.

• Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, capable of steering discussions among planners, schedulers, project teams, and stakeholders.

• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, matrixed environments with strong initiative and leadership skills.

• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a talent for synthesizing complex information and guiding teams to deploy high-quality solutions that match the intended architectural design.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills within cross-functional teams.

• Subject matter expert in supply chain concepts and best practices, with extensive experience in supply chain solutions and scheduling applications (such as OMP, SAP PPDS, Blue Yonder, or o9 Production Scheduling).

• Experience in creating detailed blueprints that convert scheduling requirements into technical specifications during software implementations.

• Technical leadership experience in data integration, data management, system configuration, and deployment of supply chain software solutions.

• Proficient in SQL, JavaScript, or other scripting languages utilized in solution configuration.

• Willingness and ability to travel 50% to 75% of the time annually.
