Application Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive analyses to uncover and leverage vulnerabilities in client applications.

• Work in conjunction with development teams to address identified vulnerabilities and improve application security.

• Conduct both dynamic testing and static code reviews to pinpoint security weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

• Employ top-tier tools, focusing on application testing environments like Burp Suite.

• Keep abreast of advancements in application security, tools, and methodologies such as OWASP ASVS.

• Evaluate client applications, verify vulnerabilities, and propose actionable remediation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of practical experience in network/infrastructure security and penetration testing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, classroom projects, or internships.

• Strong grasp of application security concepts and common vulnerabilities.

• Experience with conducting both dynamic and static code reviews.

• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, particularly Burp Suite.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex security topics clearly and concisely to varied audiences.

• Certifications such as OSCP, BSCP, OSWE, GWAPT, or other related offensive security credentials are highly desirable.

• Knowledge of prevalent web application vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.

• Understanding of cryptography, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

• Experience in both automated and manual application testing is advantageous.

• AWS experience is beneficial.
