Application Program Manager/Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the release calendar while coordinating release schedules across multiple projects.

• Establish and implement release management processes, which include readiness criteria, approval gates, and rollback strategies.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and UAT teams to verify release scope, sequencing, and dependencies.

• Facilitate release planning and go/no-go meetings, ensuring that risks and outstanding issues are communicated to stakeholders prior to deployment.

• Organize deployment activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments in collaboration with technical teams.

• Keep release documentation up to date, encompassing release notes, change logs, and post-release evaluations.

• Recognize and address release risks, escalating challenges that may impact timelines or client commitments.

• Assist with post-release monitoring and coordinate the swift resolution of issues following go-live.

• Continuously enhance release management practices and templates to ensure greater consistency across projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in release management, deployment coordination, or a similar role within software implementation or technology consulting environments.

• A Bachelor's degree.

• ITIL certification.

• Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC, environment management, and change control procedures.

• Familiarity with release or work-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or comparable platforms.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of coordinating across technical and business teams under time constraints.

• Experience managing multiple release schedules concurrently in a dynamic environment.

• Prior experience working with federal or state government agencies.
