This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Oversee the Programs Department's strategic and operational initiatives throughout the entire contract management lifecycle.
• Foster growth, sustainability, and scalability within the Programs Department.
• Create technical solution frameworks, policies, procedures, and other resources for Program Managers.
• Collaborate with business development teams on proposals and new contracts, providing guidance on technical solutions, staffing models, pricing, feasibility, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with Finance to establish an estimate-at-completion process for budgeting, forecasting, and contract oversight.
• Represent the Programs Department in cross-departmental working sessions and briefings.
• Act as the Transition Program Manager for new contracts, which includes scoping work, leading technical kickoffs, hiring contract staff, and developing transition deliverables and tools.
• Function as an interim or long-term Program Manager on contracts in the event of vacancies.
• Interface with customers, headquarters departments, and teaming partners.
• Cultivate relationships with government personnel, including Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) and government event leads.
• Address complex tactical challenges while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Produce project management deliverables and oversee contract terms and teams.
• Manage contract risks, develop processes, and monitor quality standards.
• Design and implement administrative processes, including tracking deliverables and milestones.
• Facilitate bi-weekly status meetings and compile information for headquarters reporting.
• Conduct 30- and 60-day check-ins with newly hired staff as a backup.
• Manage and develop deliverables for IDIQ and government-wide acquisition contracts.
• Undertake additional special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10-15+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in program management.
• Experience in federal government contract program management.
• Skills in strategic thinking and experience in developing frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Proven experience leading teams in dynamic, fast-paced, and occasionally ambiguous environments.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong critical problem-solving and contingency-planning abilities.
• Excellent client service and service delivery skills.
• Capacity to influence key stakeholders and clients.
• Background in risk management, quality management, and quality control.
• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) preferred.
• IT program management experience preferred.
