Application Engineer – MEAT Packaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical authority for packaging applications within meat markets across the EMEA region.

• Assist customers with product selection, application enhancement, and successful product commercialization.

• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to support product improvements and new developments.

• Work in tandem with Sales and Field Technical Service to address complex application challenges.

• Lead and facilitate product qualifications, trials, and scale-ups at customer locations.

• Perform evaluations of packaging lines, shelf-life, and performance to illustrate measurable customer value.

• Gather customer and market insights to pinpoint portfolio gaps, innovation prospects, and competitive dynamics.

• Share expertise internally and aid in developing robust application capabilities throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or related roles within flexible packaging for Dairy.

• Strong comprehension of packaging materials and customer manufacturing processes.

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate customer requirements and convert them into practical, scalable solutions.

• Excellent project management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication capabilities.

• Comfortable operating independently in a cross-functional, international setting.

• Willing to travel over 50% of the time.

• Market expertise in Fresh Meat: shrink films and bags; forming films and bags.
