Application Engineer – Hard Cheese Packaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical authority for packaging applications at customer manufacturing sites within the Hard Cheese markets across EMEA.

• Assist customers with product selection, application refinement, and successful product commercialization.

• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to support product improvements and new developments.

• Partner closely with Sales and Field Technical Service to address intricate application challenges.

• Lead and facilitate product qualifications, trials, and scale-ups at customer locations.

• Perform packaging line, shelf-life, and performance assessments to showcase measurable customer value.

• Gather customer and market insights to pinpoint portfolio gaps, innovation prospects, and competitive dynamics.

• Share expertise internally and help enhance application capabilities throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or related roles within the flexible packaging sector focused on Hard Cheese.

• In-depth knowledge of packaging materials and customer manufacturing processes.

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate customer requirements and convert them into practical, scalable solutions.

• Strong project management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.

• Adept at working independently in a cross-functional, global setting.

• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.

• Market knowledge in Hard Cheese applications, including grated, sliced, and block cheese.
