Application Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Engage in full-stack Java application development, encompassing front-end, back-end, and database elements.

• Design, code, debug, test, and document software applications following established standards.

• Provide prompt troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical support for production systems.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, system users, and Corporate IT to gather requirements and enhance solutions.

• Utilize strong analytical and conceptual skills to address complex technical issues.

• Exhibit professionalism, ethical decision-making, and a dedication to delivering high-quality outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship with the capability to obtain a security clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of professional experience in software development.

• Proficient in:

• Java/Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and JavaScript.

• PostgreSQL or other relational databases (e.g., Oracle).

• Git source control.

• Web application design and development.

• HTML, CSS, JSON, and UX fundamentals.

• XML.

• Agile software development methodologies.

• Agile Project Management tools such as Jira/Confluence (preferred) or similar alternatives.

• REST and SOAP web services.

• XSLT, XSD.

• Python.

• Android development.

• Jenkins build and deployment pipelines.

• Familiarity with ERP or financial/business systems.

• Experience in the government contracting sector.
