Application Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Enhance the functionality and operational efficiency of designated information systems and solutions.

• Analyze, design, and create new software modules.

• Provide guidance, assistance, and training to customers regarding system operation and administration.

• Work collaboratively with customers to improve work methodologies and tools.

• Support project management efforts and aid in project schedules, plans, and timelines.

• Establish priorities, comprehend business and clinical applications, address technical inquiries, and execute assigned tasks.

• Develop and implement queries, simple applications, moderately complex reports, and various business solutions utilizing PC system development tools.

• Convert customer requests into specifications for software application solutions.

• Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of assigned applications.

• Identify issues, formulate options and recommendations, and communicate concerns to the Team Lead or Manager.

• Assist customers in optimizing assigned applications and completing project-driven tasks.

• Participate in a rotating schedule for after-hours application support.

• Deliver customer training, support, and problem resolution.

• Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Ensure compliance with Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, standards, safety requirements, budget, productivity, and quality expectations.

• Act as a preceptor, mentor, and resource for less experienced staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree or two years of relevant experience.

• Industry training and progressively responsible experience with knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information System.

• Basic working knowledge of application support, development tools, and methodologies.

• Preferred three years of progressively responsible experience in corporate systems development and implementation activities.

• Preferred experience in Healthcare Management Information Systems (MIS) related to system analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

• Capability to participate in a rotating after-hours application support call schedule.

• Ability to meet mandatory/continuing education and skills competency requirements.
