Appian Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Plan, analyze, design, and create enterprise-wide information systems.

• Oversee the development of information systems, including analysis of functional and data requirements, systems analysis and design, programming supervision, and preparation of documentation.

• Conduct strategic systems planning, business information planning, and analysis of business processes.

• Perform process and data modeling through both manual and automated tools.

• Create migration strategies and planning documents for transitioning from legacy systems to target systems.

• Ensure that solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, strategies, shared capabilities, and platforms.

• Design and develop AI-enabled applications, prototypes, and reusable enterprise components utilizing Appian.

• Configure Appian process models, interfaces, rules, data types, and integrations for comprehensive workflows.

• Integrate and orchestrate AI APIs and cloud AI services within Appian applications and enterprise architectures.

• Optimize prompts, model selection, context window usage, and token consumption.

• Convert concepts and business challenges into proofs of concept and technical prototypes.

• Implement data protection measures, security protocols, and responsible AI practices.

• Ensure that systems, Appian solutions, and AI components adhere to relevant standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks.

• Contribute to the development of internal best practices, patterns, and reference implementations.

• Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and direction to technical personnel.

• Offer technical guidance on software engineering techniques, Appian design patterns, AI integration, and automated support tools.

• Prepare and present written materials and formal presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Over 12 years of proven experience in information systems development, including functional and data requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, programming, program design, and documentation creation.

• Extensive and progressive experience managing the implementation of information engineering projects.

• Significant and progressive experience in systems analysis, design, and programming.

• Extensive and progressive experience in client/server and/or distributed computing environments.

• Considerable hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying solutions using Appian, including applications, workflows, interfaces, and integrations.

• Proven experience in managerial and leadership roles, providing direction and oversight to technical teams.

• Practical experience in Appian development.

• Experience with integrating Appian with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
