Aotearoa Board Director, Māori Candidates Encouraged to Apply

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic leadership and guidance to Orange Sky Aotearoa

• Assess and track financial performance

• Supervise the Chief Executive Officer, who operates in both Australia and Aotearoa

• Adhere to corporate governance and fiduciary duties and responsibilities

• Ensure the enduring sustainability of Orange Sky

• Provide culturally safe oversight and direction in accordance with Te Tiriti o Waitangi

• Work in partnership with the CEO and management team to achieve Orange Sky’s strategic goals

• Participate in one board meeting/hui every two months, along with additional meetings and events in New Zealand

• Dedicate 1–2 hours for preparation prior to each meeting

• Attend an Orange Sky shift each quarter, depending on location

• Commit to a 3-year term, with the possibility of extension

• Enthusiasm for collaborating closely with the CEO and management team

• Proven dedication to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles

• Alignment with te ao Māori

• Comprehensive knowledge and cultural understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

• Capacity to provide culturally safe oversight and guidance

• Ability to meet corporate governance and fiduciary responsibilities with diligence and care

• Capability to offer strategic leadership and direction

• Skill in monitoring financial performance and supervising the Chief Executive Officer
