• Lead and expand a team of analytics engineers (currently 2, with plans to grow to 4 this year), fostering a culture centered on craftsmanship, documentation, and user understanding.
• Spearhead the implementation and acceptance of Lightdash as our singular source of truth for business reporting, guided by a unified KPI framework that is currently being developed.
• Initially take ownership of all dashboard development - ranging from executive reporting to operational perspectives, with assistance from analysts - and then transition this ownership entirely to analysts as self-service capabilities mature, creating the templates and processes that facilitate this transition.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert reporting requirements into well-crafted, maintainable data products.
• Create and deliver training and enablement initiatives for business users across various functions.
• Manage and enhance our core dbt models and semantic layer to back essential analytical applications: customer LTV, acquisition effectiveness, retention, funnel performance, and financial reporting.
• Establish governance and standards: metric definitions, dashboard design patterns, modeling practices, testing frameworks, and documentation.
• Work alongside analysts to convert their needs into scalable data assets, as well as collaborate with Data Engineering on pipeline reliability and data quality.
• Partner with Data Engineering on ensuring pipeline reliability, data quality, and making infrastructure decisions.
• Balance rigor with the speed of delivery - we are in the process of building foundations while the business continues to advance rapidly.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or technical analytics roles, including 2+ years of people management experience, preferably in building or scaling a team.
• You are a hands-on leader who collaborates with senior leadership on strategy and priorities while overseeing execution and daily team decisions.
• Extensive expertise in dbt - you have both built and scaled dbt projects rather than merely contributing to them.

• Proven record of promoting self-service analytics adoption through training programs, documentation, and stakeholder enablement.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling, data warehouse design patterns, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience collaborating closely with analysts and translating their requirements into scalable data models.
• Strong business insight - you are motivated to create scalable data products that yield tangible impact and prioritize effectively to achieve this goal.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and greenfield data environments, with a strong desire to cultivate team culture and enhance data quality and usability.
