Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of data infrastructure and business intelligence processes.

• Lead the development and optimization of the analytics data platform.

• Create, maintain, and oversee dynamic dashboards and reports utilizing data visualization tools.

• Write intricate SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from diverse sources.

• Conduct thorough data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and root causes, presenting findings effectively to stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to grasp business needs and convert them into technical specifications.

• Ensure the quality and integrity of data by monitoring accuracy and reliability of reports.

• Evaluate product usage and leverage insights to inform data-driven product strategies.

• Partner with Product Managers and Data Scientists to design scalable schemas while upholding high standards for data warehouse integrity and precision.

• Spearhead the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of the data platform supporting machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives.

• Develop and refine data models that assist clients in operating their practices and making strategic decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3+ years of professional experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics, with an emphasis on building production-ready data pipelines and models.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining data warehouses for ETL processes, operational analyses, stakeholder reporting, etc.

• Familiarity with orchestration layers (e.g., Airflow, Prefect), data governance, OLAP databases, schema design, and query optimization.

• Proficient in Git workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews) for managing data transformation code.

• Demonstrated expertise in a major BI tool (e.g., Omni, Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for generating reports and dashboards.

• Advanced capability in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis, particularly in the context of DBT projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret extensive datasets and provide data-driven recommendations.

• Experience with software development best practices (CI/CD, unit testing, documentation, modular coding).

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Detail-oriented and dedicated to delivering high-quality, accurate work.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience in the health sector is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with the health industry or healthcare-related data is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with a programming language beyond SQL or SAS, particularly Python or R, is preferred.

• Extensive experience with DBT is preferred.
