This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare and distribute daily and monthly loan-level reports to trustees, which include Loan Modification, REO Liquidation Gains and Losses, and Stop Advancing reports.
• Reconcile cash received with cash remitted, including monitoring and balancing advance activities.
• Process fund remittances to investors by preparing wire transfers in line with servicing agreements.
• Project principal and interest advances for securitizations on a monthly basis using pooling and servicing agreements.
• Ensure reports comply with servicing-agreement timelines and conditions.
• Examine payment history and system entries to reconcile cash activities and carry forward balances.
• Update reporting system changes for scheduled principal balances, stop codes, and reinstated loans.
• Review reconciliations from pool to security, identify discrepancies, and implement corrections.
• Examine differences in remittance between investor accounting and remittance reports to uphold custodial-account cash.
• Execute additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with mortgage servicing departments to meet investor servicing-agreement obligations.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• One to two years of relevant experience, particularly in investor accounting and reporting, is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of pertinent regulatory requirements.
• Ability to comprehend complex issues and work collaboratively on alternative solutions.
• Capacity to make decisions with moderate effects on the immediate work unit.
• Skill in organizing and prioritizing work effectively on a short-term basis.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and the ability to record, balance, and verify results for precision.
• Capability to communicate verbally with others clearly and efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret investor and agency guidelines related to investor reporting and accounting, payment application, and custodial accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
