This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop analog and mixed-signal circuits that align with architectural requirements and technical specifications across various CMOS nodes.
• Play an active role in defining the architecture of the design and chip integration, collaborating with business and application teams to establish specifications for future integrated circuits (ICs).
• Conduct research and explore new circuit techniques to enhance Ferric IC's performance.
• Execute analysis, design, and verification simulations to ensure that building blocks satisfy specifications at the schematic level and following post-layout extraction.
• Document assigned circuit blocks, lead design review meetings, and actively participate in the review process.
• Collaborate across functions with Characterization, Test, and Application Engineers to verify, characterize, and debug the circuit blocks under your ownership.
• PhD or MSEE with over 2 years of experience in full-custom CMOS design.
• Proficiency in designing components such as bandgaps, ADCs/DACs, PLLs, DLLs, LDOs, temperature sensors, switched-capacitor circuits, op-amps, comparators, and biasing circuits.
• Familiarity with CAD software including Cadence Virtuoso for schematic and layout design, Spectre, APS, Calibre DRC/LVS/PEX, and CppSim.
• Experience in designing high-frequency switching integrated voltage regulators using standard CMOS technologies.
• Expertise in creating analog and mixed-signal circuits in standard CMOS technologies, particularly focusing on low power consumption.
• Demonstrated success in bringing mixed-signal designs to high-volume production.
• Strong understanding of process and device physics principles.
• Knowledge of mixed-signal verification methodologies.
• Ability to layout essential analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Experience with backend verification tools, including EMIR and static/dynamic MOSFET voltage checks.
• Proficient in Monte Carlo analysis.
• Programming skills in Verilog, Verilog-AMS, Python, Perl, Tcl, Cadence Skill, and MATLAB.
