Analista Programmatore, Cobol

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Conduct technical analysis, development, and both corrective and evolutionary maintenance of COBOL procedures.

• Manage and enhance enterprise applications utilizing mainframe technologies.

• Work collaboratively with technical teams and project stakeholders to improve application features.

• Examine application discrepancies and introduce new functionalities.

• Guarantee the quality, operational continuity, and reliability of solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in COBOL development.

• Background in technical analysis, application development, and application maintenance.

• Understanding of mainframe environments.

• Familiarity with batch processes and online applications.

• Proficient knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

• Capable of analyzing and rectifying application discrepancies.

• Experience in managing both corrective and evolutionary maintenance.

• Proficient in English at a B2 level.

• Knowledge of CICS is a plus.

• Familiarity with DB2 is advantageous.

• Experience in banking, insurance, or other enterprise settings is beneficial.

• Knowledge of application migration and modernization processes is a plus.
