This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly backups of servers (UPC, UPN, Cibertec) in accordance with the institution's current backup policy.
• Monitor the execution of Jobs (including financial Jobs) and scheduled tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Execute Production Releases and Emergency Production Releases only after formal approval in ServiceNow (Evaluator, Owner, and CAB Administrator; in emergencies: approval from the Owner via email, with CAB regularization within a maximum of 5 days).
• Run database scripts (SQL / Oracle) that have been previously reviewed and approved.
• Manage user and group additions and removals in Active Directory and email, after prior review and approval by the account architect.
• Operate the institution's core services: DNS, DHCP, AD, CA.
• Administer and monitor storage systems and backup libraries.
• Respond to tickets via ServiceNow within defined timeframes.
• Monitor Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OCI) and On-Premise systems, including jobs, scheduled tasks, and backup executions.
• Ensure the availability of critical academic and administrative systems of the institution.
• Check the status of VPN and Internet communications on campus.
• Resolve incidents related to Cloud and On-Premise platforms.
• Manage operating systems (Windows and Linux) and apply security patches on servers.
• Create and manage user accounts and groups in Active Directory and email groups.
• Oversee and manage the backup processes of the organization's critical information.
• Review disk usage and other resources across all servers.
• Verify alerts issued by the monitoring system.
• Perform scheduled shutdowns and startups of the Data Center.
• Update backup logs and records.
• Ensure that servers have the current and operational security agents: Cisco DUO (MFA), Cisco AMP (Windows antivirus), TrendMicro (Linux antivirus), Bigfix (Windows vulnerability patching), Nessus (vulnerability scanning), and SentinelOne (Active Directory protection).
• Apply the checklist for equipment additions and removals in accordance with institutional security guidelines.
• Assist in coordinating the renewal of security certificates for the institutions.
• Conduct quarterly restoration tests and the annual control of the DRP.
• Execute the quarterly control of password changes for privileged users (AD, Database, Linux, Windows).
• Bachelor’s degree or graduate from a prestigious higher education institution in the fields of Electronics, Systems, Computer Science, or related areas.
• One (1) year of experience in the administration of physical and virtual servers.
• Desirable: Six (6) months of experience in security controls.
• Desirable: Certification in Microsoft Azure, AWS, OCI.
