
Americas Practice Lead – Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and implement the strategic direction of the Engineering Practice across various regions and countries.
• Maintain responsibility for financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Lead business planning efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, workforce development, succession planning, and market expansion initiatives.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality client solutions through consistent technical excellence.
• Provide direct oversight and mentorship to VPs and Managing Principals.
• Supervise major projects, programs, and key practice metrics.
• Develop and establish policies, procedures, and technical protocols.
• Oversee selected ongoing and new EFI projects.
• Manage program activities, including training, reporting, and administrative responsibilities.
• Represent EFI in meetings and forums with government, public service, and private-sector clients.
• Advise senior management on business matters and the financial implications of project work.
• Organize regular Engineering Service Line meetings and events.
• Participate in committees, task forces, and other groups to promote EFI’s mission and strategies.
• Act as a senior client-facing leader and industry representative.
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to drive growth and enhance client engagement.
• Represent EFI in external forums, strategic partnerships, and discussions with major clients.
• Facilitate cross-region and cross-discipline collaboration.
• Lead governance, meetings, initiatives, and task forces for the service line.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical, operational, or client-related issues.
• Support the organization's quality programs.
• Travel as necessary.
• Administer company personnel policies and staffing/training standards.
• Interview, hire, and establish performance development plans, along with conducting performance discussions.
• Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to foster optimal performance.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• Must be certified and/or registered as a professional engineer in the relevant field of expertise.
• A minimum of twenty (20) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• At least 10 years of management-related experience is necessary.
• Comprehensive understanding of standards and regulations.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.

• Ability to produce comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports.

• Travel requirement of 30% to 50%.
