Ambulatory Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert for Epic Ambulatory, offering application expertise and guidance to clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.

• Assess clinical and operational workflows and convert requirements into Epic configuration, build, and optimization.

• Support Ambulatory and Behavioral Health workflows while ensuring configuration aligns with clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee assigned application projects, enhancements, system changes, upgrades, and complex break/fix issues from analysis to implementation.

• Develop test scripts, testing plans, and implementation schedules.

• Conduct comprehensive integrated and cross-application testing.

• Organize and engage in user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Diagnose complex application issues and determine root causes related to application, integration, or infrastructure.

• Keep abreast of Epic applications, dependencies, integrations, infrastructure relationships, and impacts on end-users.

• Provide continuous production support for upgrades, releases, enhancements, workflow changes, and optimization initiatives.

• Assist with change and problem management activities following ITIL processes and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to enhance workflows, optimize systems, and boost adoption rates.

• Maintain application documentation, testing records, change documentation, and system configuration standards.

• Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, science, information technology, business, or a related field, or four (4) years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of two (2) years of Epic experience, including hands-on support for Epic Ambulatory.

• Active Epic certification or accreditation in Epic Ambulatory or another relevant core Epic application is required.

• Strong hands-on experience with Epic Ambulatory core functionality, configuration, build, testing, and support.

• Experience in supporting Behavioral Health workflows within Epic Ambulatory.

• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and their implications on ambulatory clinical workflows and system configuration.

• In-depth knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, workflow analysis, and healthcare data management.

• Proven success in supporting the implementation, development, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise clinical information systems in a large-scale healthcare organization.

• Capability to independently troubleshoot complex application issues and serve as a senior escalation point.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
