This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Acts as the primary manager responsible for the delivery of laboratory data processing services.
• Primarily guarantees the timely and precise completion of tasks.
• Conducts analysis, development, and implementation of processing strategies for electronic files and related services in accordance with applicable ESI specifications.
• Consults with attorneys and support staff on optimal practices for adhering to ESI specifications and, as necessary, participates in teleconferences with co-counsel, client agencies, and opposing counsel at the attorney's request.
• Ensures that incoming productions comply with applicable ESI specifications and, when deficiencies are identified, provides the case attorney with a detailed report of those deficiencies.
• Responsible for keeping the COR updated on lab activities, including deadlines, technical challenges, and resource availability to fulfill work requirements.
• Oversees web hosting support for unsupported cases managed by the lab.
• Leads a team of eDiscovery professionals located in a client-site eDiscovery laboratory, which includes: scheduling, requirements assessments, delegating tasks, ensuring deadlines are met, generating progress reports, and conducting Quality Control (QC) of deliverables.
• Provides guidance to Department of Justice attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), particularly: Data Collection, Processing, Hosting, Review, Analytics, and Production.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance before starting (candidates do not need to be cleared at the time of application).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Capable of working efficiently in a fully remote environment.
• A minimum of five years of experience at the management/supervisory level.
• Requires comprehensive knowledge of the litigation discovery process and the EDRM workflow.
• Familiarity with and certifications in document review software such as iConect, Relativity, Venio, or similar tools.
• An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in computer science or a related field.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in eDiscovery roles, including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis and review.
