This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise and oversee the Maintenance Control for both on-site and remote personnel.
• Direct and manage all facets of maintenance control operations for the Thrive Aviation fleet.
• Ensure that Maintenance Control personnel adhere to company policies, work rules, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor compliance with all regulatory mandates concerning aircraft maintenance.
• Provide coaching, counseling, and support to Maintenance Controllers.
• Ensure the accurate documentation and filing of component overhauls, as well as certifications for aircraft communication/navigation equipment and related components, in line with Thrive Aviation manuals, manufacturer’s guidelines, bulletins, and directives.
• Guarantee the correct execution of an Airworthiness Release.
• Take responsibility for signing off on the completion of work on relevant work forms and records.
• Process all required documentation as stipulated by regulations.
• Develop and maintain budgets for maintenance operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial objectives.
• Delegate assigned tasks efficiently, using sound judgment in the execution of each project.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management to relay updates on maintenance activities and address any issues.
• Make critical decisions in a dynamic environment to ensure the safety and airworthiness of the fleet.
• Promote Thrive Aviation’s culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
• A current A&P License is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in aviation management or a related field; OR 7-10 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection with a Part 135 operator.
• A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Expert knowledge of FAA regulations related to aircraft maintenance.
• Strong leadership skills coupled with extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced skills and understanding of aircraft parts management.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software products.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software tools, including Flexx, Traxxall, CAMP, and Corridor, is highly preferred.
• Some travel may be required.
