This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ This position primarily focuses on delivering completed games to players, ensuring they are certified, launched on all platforms, and supported well after their release.
β’ You will oversee the entire release pipeline from start to finish, including platform certification and submissions, backend management for PC and console platforms, and the post-launch update process for each title in the catalog.
β’ Collaborating closely with the Mythwright Production team and development partners on every project, you will manage build schedules and ensure releases meet quality standards and timelines. Hands-on work across platforms will involve utilizing emerging tools and automation to enhance submissions and reporting.
β’ You will handle releases and submissions on Steam and other necessary PC storefronts, along with console certifications and submissions for Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. This includes validating builds against platform specifications and managing the PC and console backends, depots, and branches to ensure accurate shipping of each build.
β’ It is essential to track certification requirements as they evolve and create repeatable checklists for successful submissions on the first attempt, leveraging automation for build validation and backend configuration to enhance reliability. You are capable of conducting console compliance checks independently or coordinating them through a vendor.
β’ Your role involves executing the launch timelines set by marketing, ensuring that developers and platforms are aligned so that every title launches correctly and punctually across PC and console.
β’ You will be responsible for the comprehensive launch runbook, organizing the platform go-live procedures to prevent any oversights, while keeping the studio updated with a transparent and current overview of release statuses.
β’ Additionally, you will manage the post-launch update cycle for each title in the catalog, maintaining the update schedule beyond initial launch and overseeing the certification and submission of every patch and update.
β’ You will coordinate fixes with developers, ensure live builds remain current across all platforms, and utilize automated workflows to efficiently deliver regular updates with minimal manual intervention.
β’ Demonstrated experience as a Release Manager with games that you have personally shipped.
β’ Extensive backend and console release experience, including compliance and certification processes with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo.
β’ Proficient in the Steamworks backend, including depots, branches, and build submissions. Familiarity with the Epic Games Store is also a plus.
β’ Exceptional coordination and communication skills across developers and platforms.
β’ Solid understanding of build pipelines, submission procedures, and post-launch update cycles.
β’ A pragmatic, hands-on approach, utilizing emerging tools and automation to boost efficiency.
β’ Capability to identify risks early and manage multiple titles concurrently.
