AI/ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance real-world computer vision systems with a focus on aerial image recognition.

• Create solutions that involve object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Train, fine-tune, assess, and implement computer vision and machine learning models.

• Experiment with contemporary vision models, foundational models, and multimodal AI technologies.

• Investigate new AI methodologies and assess their potential benefits for the product.

• Quickly develop prototypes and validate technical concepts.

• Enhance the accuracy, reliability, performance, and inference efficiency of models.

• Work with visual data to develop data preparation, training, and evaluation pipelines.

• Explore LLMs, embeddings, vision-language models, and other cutting-edge AI technologies.

• Utilize AI coding tools and agents to expedite development, research, debugging, and prototyping processes.

• Identify opportunities for AI to enhance the overall product and user experience.

• Take responsibility for technical challenges from preliminary research to implementation and deployment.

• Collaborate directly with the client’s team on a comprehensive roofing-professional platform for remote roof measurements, reports, estimates, and material presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of practical experience in AI/ML, computer vision, or a closely related discipline.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Direct experience in constructing and refining real-world computer vision systems.

• Strong grasp of machine learning principles.

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch or another contemporary machine learning framework.

• Familiarity with object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Experience in training, fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying ML models.

• Knowledge of modern computer vision models and foundational models.

• Experience utilizing AI coding tools or agents for development, research, debugging, and rapid prototyping.

• Familiarity with LLMs, multimodal AI, embeddings, or vision-language models.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to tackle open-ended technical challenges.

• Ability to swiftly transition from an idea or hypothesis to a working prototype.

• Background in aerial, satellite, drone, or geospatial imagery is a significant advantage.

• Experience with LiDAR, point clouds, photogrammetry, depth estimation, or 3D reconstruction is a strong plus.

• Previous experience in construction, property technology, mapping, robotics, or a related industry is a plus.

• Experience deploying ML solutions in cloud environments is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of GPU computing, inference optimization, or model performance optimization is a strong plus.

• Experience with OpenCV, C/C++, or MATLAB is an additional advantage.
