AI/ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance practical computer vision systems, specializing in aerial image recognition.

• Create solutions that involve object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Train, fine-tune, assess, and deploy computer vision and machine learning models.

• Experiment with contemporary vision models, foundational models, and multimodal AI technologies.

• Investigate new AI methodologies and assess their potential value for products.

• Quickly develop prototypes and validate technical concepts.

• Enhance model accuracy, reliability, performance, and inference efficiency.

• Manage visual data and create data preparation, training, and evaluation pipelines.

• Explore LLMs, embeddings, vision-language models, and other cutting-edge AI technologies.

• Utilize AI coding tools and agents to expedite development, research, debugging, and prototyping.

• Discover opportunities for AI to enhance overall product and user experience.

• Take responsibility for technical challenges from initial research through to implementation and deployment.

• Collaborate closely with the client’s team on a comprehensive platform for roofing professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of practical experience in AI/ML, computer vision, or a closely related domain.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Proven experience in developing and enhancing practical computer vision systems.

• Solid understanding of machine learning principles.

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch or another contemporary machine learning framework.

• Experience in object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Proficient in training, fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying ML models.

• Familiarity with modern computer vision and foundational models.

• Experience using AI coding tools or agents for development, research, debugging, and rapid prototyping.

• Knowledge of LLMs, multimodal AI, embeddings, or vision-language models.

• Strong analytical skills and capability to tackle open-ended technical challenges.

• Ability to transition swiftly from an idea or hypothesis to a functioning prototype.

• Experience with aerial, satellite, drone, or geospatial imagery.

• Knowledge of LiDAR, point clouds, photogrammetry, depth estimation, or 3D reconstruction.

• Previous background in construction, property technology, mapping, robotics, or a related field.

• Experience implementing ML solutions in cloud environments.

• Understanding of GPU computing, inference optimization, or model performance enhancement.

• Proficient in OpenCV, C/C++, or MATLAB.
