This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will oversee the entire recruiting process for all positions: sourcing, outreach, screening, managing interview loops, and closing candidates.
• You will develop and sustain a candidate pipeline through proactive sourcing, networking, and fostering long-term relationships with researchers and scientists in AI, biology, and drug discovery.
• You will perform initial screening interviews, assessing candidates with sufficient technical knowledge to differentiate substantial expertise from superficial familiarity in AI/ML and computational biology.
• You will create and continuously enhance screening frameworks and interview processes, ensuring that Output efficiently and consistently identifies exceptional talent.
• You will represent Output at significant events, including AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) and biotech gatherings, establishing relationships with researchers, PhD students, and postdocs.
• You will collaborate with the founders and hiring managers to define role requirements, establish hiring strategies, and ensure every candidate undergoes a thorough and human-centered process.
• You will manage and maintain the ATS, ensuring clean pipeline data and utilizing it to monitor progress, identify obstacles, and refine workflows.
• You will oversee the process from offer to acceptance, structuring competitive compensation packages, presenting offers to candidates, and negotiating equity, salary, and terms.
• A minimum of 3 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience with a significant emphasis on AI/ML, research, or engineering roles.
• A proven history of sourcing and closing specialized technical talent in highly competitive markets.
• Sufficient technical fluency in AI/ML to credibly screen research candidates: you can differentiate between those who have trained models and those who have merely utilized APIs, and you can evaluate publication records and research depth.
• Comfort in developing proactive sourcing strategies and nurturing long-term candidate relationships, beyond merely filling open positions.
• Familiarity with the AI/ML research community: key conferences, leading labs, publication platforms, and how researchers assess opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with researchers and scientists who may be skeptical of recruiting outreach.
• A working understanding of startup compensation frameworks, including equity, vesting, and how to position offers competitively against well-funded AI research labs.
• Comfort in operating within a stealth environment where brand recognition is minimal, requiring a focus on substance to attract candidates.
• We promote innovative and diverse ideas, encouraging creativity and contrarian thinking.
• A constructive feedback-oriented environment to help you excel—leadership maintains high expectations, regularly provides constructive feedback, supports your growth, and welcomes your feedback and ideas.
• You have autonomy over your day-to-day management. Our primary concern is achieving our milestones together.
• Competitive salary and equity in a rapidly growing, well-funded startup.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
