AI Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary subject matter expert for AI Infrastructure on NVIDIA DGX platforms and compatible OEM solutions.

• Evaluate customer needs through discovery sessions, workshops, and technical consultations.

• Design customized AI data center infrastructure solutions for training, inference, and HPC workloads.

• Develop hardware configurations that include servers, storage, networking, GPUs, power, cooling, and racks.

• Create and maintain precise Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Validate and recommend solutions by utilizing OEM reference architectures.

• Deliver technical presentations, proofs of concept, and solution demonstrations.

• Suggest best practices for AI infrastructure deployment, optimization, and integration.

• Support field sales teams during customer meetings, RFPs/RFIs, and addressing technical objections.

• Collaborate with NVIDIA and OEM partners on roadmaps, certifications, and emerging technologies.

• Document solutions, develop playbooks, and train both sales teams and customers.

• Keep abreast of developments in AI hardware and the data center industry.

• Establish technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners.

• Serve as a trusted AI advisor alongside Field Account Executives.

• Manage the solution practice pipeline and formulate strategies for prospects and new business.

• Identify technology opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services.

• Engage with CIOs, IT Directors, CTOs, and other client contacts.

• Educate AGT and SHI teams on technical selling, products, services, and technology trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in presales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting focused on data center infrastructure.

• Preferably, experience with AI/ML/HPC workloads.

• Demonstrated expertise with NVIDIA DGX systems, GPU technologies such as CUDA and NCCL, and AI data center platforms.

• Practical experience with OEM AI server platforms, including Dell, HPE, and Lenovo.

• Strong understanding of servers, high-performance NVMe storage, InfiniBand, Ethernet, power, and cooling systems.

• Experience in creating BOMs, sizing AI workload infrastructure, and conducting cost/performance analysis.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Willingness to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events.

• Intermediate experience with complex data center sales opportunities.

• Intermediate capability to design hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, SDDC, IaaS/PaaS, automation, containerization, and data center management platform infrastructures.

• Intermediate knowledge of virtualization technologies, hypervisors, server virtualization, SDDC, containerization, and automation.

• Intermediate ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services.

• Intermediate expertise with Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix.

• Intermediate experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup/recovery, data protection, mirroring, clustering, and related solutions.

• Preferred: NVIDIA or relevant vendor certifications.

• Preferred: Experience with Enterprise Datacenter technologies and solutions.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Datacenter, power, and cooling technologies.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AI software stacks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Kubernetes for AI.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud-hybrid AI deployments or large-scale data center projects.

• Preferred: Understanding of the AI Factory concept, NCPs, and AI Cloud Providers.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
