AI Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of data modeling, integration design, and governance throughout all engagements, acting as the senior technical authority from pre-sales to delivery.

• Align customer data with Instacart's data ontology and assess technical feasibility prior to initiating any builds.

• Develop integration patterns between the Intelligence Platform and partner systems, such as POS, ERP, loyalty programs, CRM, Snowflake, proprietary APIs, and mobile interfaces.

• Connect partner technical requirements with Instacart's R&D roadmaps, APIs, and SDKs; identify gaps and advocate for necessary platform modifications to support the field.

• Collaborate in real-time with partners to prototype and code.

• Evaluate designs and assist Forward Deployed Engineers to ensure architectural integrity throughout the pod's engagements.

• Document reusable integration patterns into scalable architecture templates as the pod expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, or senior software engineering, with a proven track record in designing enterprise-scale systems.

• Extensive knowledge in data architecture and modeling within complex, diverse enterprise environments, along with a sufficient understanding of AI/ML to recognize how data quality and structure influence capabilities on the intelligence layer.

• Experience in creating integrations across intricate enterprise settings, including ERP, POS, Snowflake, and proprietary APIs.

• Proficiency in hands-on coding is essential — the capability to build is as critical as the ability to design.

• Demonstrated customer-facing experience presenting technical architectures to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

• Strong systems thinking — capable of maintaining a comprehensive technical perspective of a complex engagement while also focusing on the specific details.

• Ability to define architecture from foundational principles in greenfield and undefined environments.
