AI Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain applications based on microservices utilizing modern software engineering practices.

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, systems engineering, and program teams within an Agile/SAFe framework.

• Engage in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Convert requirements into functional software solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to CI/CD and DevSecOps methodologies.

• Participate in system design conversations and contribute to technical decision-making.

• Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs.

• Assist in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ongoing improvements.

• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and platform teams to guarantee reliable delivery.

• Implement automated unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, debugging, and test generation.

• Support mission-critical air traffic systems for national air traffic operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of pertinent experience or a Master’s Degree.

• Practical experience in building and maintaining microservices-based systems.

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, like Java, Python, or C++, on a Linux-based platform.

• Familiarity or experience with AI/ML-enabled systems, automation, or intelligent platforms.

• Experience in Agile environments.

• Strong understanding of APIs and distributed system principles.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Successful completion of background checks as mandated by the government client.

• Preferred experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferred.

• Preferred experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies is preferred.

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Experience in DevSecOps environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
