AI Security & Trust Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives related to security and trust across Engineering, AI, Platform, Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, Security, and Compliance teams.

• Influence teams outside of your direct reporting line by aligning objectives, providing clarity, and facilitating smoother execution of trust-related work.

• Assist in the operationalization of AI governance, security assurance, identity controls, vulnerability remediation, and practices that enhance customer trust.

• Transform manual security and trust efforts into sustainable systems, automation, metrics, and reusable operational models.

• Collaborate with technical teams to embed security and trust measures within engineering platforms, CI/CD processes, delivery workflows, identity systems, endpoint tools, and AI-driven workflows.

• Develop or guide workflows, agents, automations, or systems powered by AI that minimize manual tasks and enhance security operations.

• Support ongoing assurance for SOC 2 and ISO 42001, focusing on automation, evidence gathering, and operational discipline rather than merely participating in audits.

• Aid engineers in evolving from task-oriented execution to a broader perspective on platforms and systems.

• Convey risk in straightforward business terminology to both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Establish a consistent operating rhythm, define ownership models, clarify decision-making rights, and set metrics and leading indicators for trust outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, AI engineering, cloud engineering, or a similar technical role.

• Proven track record of delivering system-level results rather than merely completing isolated security tasks or supporting one-off audits.

• Experience collaborating directly with Engineering, DevSecOps, Platform, Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, or AI teams.

• Proven experience in integrating security or trust controls into engineering platforms, delivery workflows, CI/CD processes, identity systems, endpoint environments, or operational tools.

• Strong grasp of vulnerability management, identity/security tools, security operations, and the flow of security work through technical teams.

• Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes through individuals who do not report directly to you.

• Capability to establish ownership models, operational rhythms, metrics, and ensure follow-through across various teams.

• Proficiency in AI that goes beyond personal productivity; you should be adept at discussing AI-driven workflows, agents, automation, governance, and human oversight.

• Ability to articulate complex technical risks in business terms without reliance on jargon.

• A practical leadership approach: prioritizing systems over heroics, automation over repetitive tasks, and clarity over confusion.
