AI Safety Expert – English, Tamil

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct red-team assessments on conversational AI models and agents utilizing jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse scenarios, bias exploitation, and multi-turn manipulation techniques.

• Create human data by annotating failures, categorizing vulnerabilities, and identifying systemic risks.

• Utilize taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks to ensure consistent testing methodologies.

• Generate reproducible reports, datasets, and attack scenarios.

• Investigate AI systems for vulnerabilities that automated testing may overlook.

• Enhance evaluation coverage and minimize unexpected issues in production.

• Assist Mercor’s clientele in reinforcing the safety, robustness, and reliability of AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native fluency in both English and Tamil.

• Strong discernment regarding language and content.

• Capability to evaluate whether AI responses are accurate, comprehensive, and appropriate.

• Proficiency in articulating reasoning clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Keen attention to detail for subtle errors, inconsistencies, and gaps.

• Ability to reliably adhere to guidelines and quality standards.

• Flexibility to adapt across various projects, task types, and clientele.

• Status as an independent contractor.

• Candidates must not hold H1-B or STEM OPT status.

• Preferred expertise in areas such as adversarial ML, cybersecurity, socio-technical risk, or creative probing.
