This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the intake and documentation of AI use cases and tools that are identified for high-risk evaluation.
• Allocate cases to the relevant domain reviewers (such as legal, security, data protection, and ethics) and ensure their timely completion.
• Keep templates, trackers, and a comprehensive audit trail of all reviewed use cases and their decisions.
• Clearly communicate with requestors regarding the process, status, and outcomes.
• Create and update guidance documentation, disseminating decisions and resources on the IRC's internal staff portal.
• Organize agendas, materials, and logistics for review panel meetings.
• Assist in the implementation of IRC’s enterprise AI policy, developing the essential tools and processes in close collaboration with others.
• Lead project management for high-priority, organization-wide AI initiatives.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, risk registers, and terms of reference.
• Facilitate scrum, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings; driving progress against milestones.
• Design and execute testing, rollout, and change management plans in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Generate regular status reports for senior leadership, effectively communicating scope, progress, risks, and decisions.
• Proactively identify and resolve blockers, issues, and risks before they escalate into critical problems.
• A minimum of 6 years of project management experience in IT or technology-driven settings.
• Proven success in leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs with substantial technology components.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience with AI projects, whether in project management, product, or operational roles, is strongly preferred.
• Background in international NGOs or global humanitarian organizations is preferred.
• PMP, CSM, or an equivalent project/program management certification is preferred.
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management, and retrospectives, is essential.
• Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or their equivalents.
• Understanding of AI concepts, use cases, and the compliance, security, data privacy, and ethical considerations necessary for responsible AI adoption.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for audiences ranging from technical teams to senior executive leadership.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority.
