AI Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop a multi-agent system for production that operates securely across a business's essential tools (ERP, CRM, spreadsheets, calendars, email, analytics, compliance systems).

• Create and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that link the harness to actual business systems.

• Take ownership of production system aspects from start to finish: reliability, observability, permissions, and safe workflow execution—this system will directly act on customer data, setting a high standard for accuracy.

• As there is no existing playbook, you will define the scope, make decisions regarding tradeoffs, and drive execution with minimal supervision.

• Prioritize user experience in your designs, embracing a product-first approach that emphasizes practical usage over purely technical interests.

• Actively identify and escalate risks or unresolved questions before they hinder progress, presenting structured solutions rather than just problems.

• Stay updated with rapidly evolving technologies—agent frameworks, harness toolkits, MCP standards—and proactively introduce improved methods as they arise instead of waiting for direction.

• Engage hands-on with tools like Claude Code throughout your build process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack development experience, preferably in B2B SaaS applications.

• Proven experience in building multi-agent harnesses in a production environment—not merely prototypes or personal projects.

• Demonstrated expertise in creating MCPs (Model Context Protocol) that are effectively utilized in production.

• Strong understanding of production system considerations: reliability, observability, permissions, and safe workflow execution.

• Experience spanning both product and engineering roles—you should be comfortable with scoping and decision-making, not solely focused on implementation.

• Proficient in contemporary technologies such as React, TypeScript, Node, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and LangGraph, with a capability to swiftly adapt to new tools and frameworks.

• Possess startup agility: experience in an early-stage startup (fewer than 20 engineers) where you successfully navigated ambiguous and unstructured environments.

• Maintain a low ego and team-oriented mindset—your measure of success is based on what has been delivered and its effectiveness, rather than internal politics.

• Communicate clearly and proactively—raise concerns and suggest solutions before being prompted.

• Nice-to-Haves

• Background in supply chain, ERP, CRM, B2B marketplaces, or accounting software development.

• Experience in UX design.

• Familiarity with agentic systems and multi-agent orchestration beyond the specified areas (e.g., evaluation frameworks, agent-to-agent protocols).

• Experience utilizing Claude Code or similar tools for independent product building.

• Experience in the cannabis industry.
