AI Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Determine how AI can significantly enhance CareerMD’s operations and user experience.

• Identify and automate high-impact internal workflows.

• Deliver AI capabilities from start to finish with assessments as a key practice.

• Collaborate on data management, identity, and architectural strategies.

• Create reusable frameworks so each capability builds upon the last.

• Expand AI functionalities to support physician- and employer-facing insights.

• Work closely with the VP of Engineering and the Product team.

• Explore, develop, assess, deploy, learn, and refine.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundation in software engineering with the capability to design and deploy systems from beginning to end.

• Experience in developing and launching practical AI applications utilizing LLMs, retrieval systems, embeddings, and agentic patterns.

• Proven track record of constructing and managing evaluation frameworks for AI products.

• Skill in identifying high-impact workflows through direct stakeholder discussions.

• Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user and business results.

• Over 5 years of experience in software development.

• Minimum of 3 years delivering user-facing software with direct product responsibility.

• At least 1 year of experience in deploying AI-driven applications into production.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience in launching AI-native features into production with measurable results.

• Background in building recommendation, ranking, or matching systems along with feedback loops.

• Experience designing systems that utilize user behavior and feedback data.

• Familiarity with early-stage or high-accountability environments.
