AI Infrastructure DC Design Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation and updating of AutoCAD drawings, including rack elevations, cabinet layouts, and structured cabling documentation.

• Support documentation for data hall design, asset tracking, and revision management activities.

• Aid engineering teams in validating infrastructure inventory and tracking basic capacity.

• Help maintain design standards, templates, and repositories for project documentation.

• Participate in engineering reviews, design walkthroughs, and quality assurance processes.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather project inputs and update design records accordingly.

• Support the preparation of project reports, spreadsheets, diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Acquire knowledge on data center infrastructure concepts such as power, cooling, cabling, rack configurations, and AI cluster environments.

• Adhere to established operational procedures, engineering standards, and safety requirements.

• Assist with administrative and project coordination tasks associated with infrastructure deployment activities.

• Engage in low-complexity assignments with clearly defined objectives and supervision.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and project teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have recently completed an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of datacenter or IT infrastructure concepts is preferred.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar drafting/documentation tools is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

• Capacity to learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Interest in AI infrastructure, data centers, networking, or cloud technologies is preferred.
