AI Infrastructure DC Design Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation and revision of AutoCAD drawings, rack elevations, cabinet layouts, and structured cabling documentation.

• Support documentation related to data hall design, asset tracking, and management of revisions.

• Aid engineering teams in validating infrastructure inventory and tracking basic capacity.

• Help uphold design standards, templates, and the organization of project documentation repositories.

• Engage in engineering reviews, design walkthroughs, and quality assurance processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect project inputs and update design records accordingly.

• Assist in the preparation of project reports, spreadsheets, diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Gain knowledge of data center infrastructure concepts, including power, cooling, cabling, rack configurations, and AI cluster environments.

• Adhere to established operational procedures, engineering standards, and safety regulations.

• Support administrative and project coordination tasks associated with infrastructure deployment activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• A foundational understanding of datacenter or IT infrastructure concepts is preferred.

• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar drafting/documentation tools is advantageous.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

• Capacity to learn swiftly and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• A keen interest in AI infrastructure, data centers, networking, or cloud technologies is preferred.
