AI-First Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire process from raw data to business impact, encompassing ingestion and dbt models on AWS, all the way to insights, metrics, and AI applications across thousands of studios.

• Create clean, scalable, and dependable data models for both human and AI systems.

• Integrate data quality into the architecture through thorough testing, comprehensive documentation, lineage tracking, and governance policies.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering on ingestion processes and pipelines to ensure that models utilize fresh and reliable data.

• Work alongside Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to transform vague business inquiries into valuable, sustainable data products.

• Employ AI-assisted tools in everyday tasks and prepare data for AI applications through clear semantics, thorough documentation, and lineage tracking.

• Develop expertise in financial reporting for Finion Capital in conjunction with seasoned finance professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related role, preferably with a significant emphasis on data warehousing.

• Proficient in SQL with practical experience using dbt and a cloud data warehouse.

• Familiarity with dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, and incremental patterns, or a strong willingness to quickly enhance that knowledge.

• Solid Python skills applicable to data tasks.

• Comfortable using AI-assisted tools, with the ability to assess, validate, and enhance their outputs.

• Methodical approach to debugging intricate data issues and addressing them at their source.

• Proficient in English at C1 level or higher, both written and spoken.

• A curious mindset and a sense of ownership.

• Nice to have: experience with financial, payments, or regulated reporting data.

• Nice to have: proficiency in the German language.
