AI Financial Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop, operate, and consistently enhance AI-powered automation throughout the FP&A sector — including forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, variance analysis, and month-end closing processes.

• Take charge of the operational aspects of tax — oversee obligations and deadlines, maintain current schedules and workpapers, and create automation that ensures continuous compliance.

• Integrate ERP, spend management, equity, HRIS, and CRM systems with AI agents, integrations, and scripts — systematically removing manual and repetitive finance tasks.

• Create and implement new automations and AI systems that broaden the capabilities of the finance function — building is essential to this position, not merely maintaining existing systems.

• Document your creations, ensure they are reliable and auditable, and contribute to enhancing the AI proficiency of the wider finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Availability for meetings and spontaneous communication during Quora's “coordination hours” (Monday to Friday: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).

• A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent qualification is required.

• Over 5 years of experience in corporate finance / FP&A — including forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and month-end closing processes.

• Proven hands-on experience in building with AI tools - agents, LLM-powered workflows, and automations that operate real processes in production, rather than just familiarity with chat tools.

• Exceptional financial modeling and spreadsheet skills.

• A self-starter with a pronounced action orientation, capable of functioning with high autonomy and minimal supervision in a lean, remote-first team environment.
