This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
β’ Prepare the context for each migration process, encompassing functional documentation, source schema, and the target data model.
β’ Design and optimize prompts for proposing queries, mappings, and transformation rules.
β’ Review generated SQL and mappings against data models, ensuring the validation of entities, fields, relationships, and constraints.
β’ Address unreliable LLM cases, including modifications to identifiers and resolving constraint conflicts.
β’ Create parameterized queries to identify changes on both sides since the last synchronization, which includes spreadsheets and document folders.
β’ Collaborate with the Senior Python Developer to establish safeguards for LLM-generated SQL and ensure controlled, approved writes to source systems.
β’ Classify records of failed synchronization by root cause, including instances where data has been altered on both ends.
β’ Transform each treatment into an approved rule.
β’ Automate tasks related to migration preparation, such as loading inputs, generating artifacts, and comparing versions of artifacts.
β’ Version approved artifacts alongside their inputs and document procedures for reuse by other teams.
β’ A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of software development experience with Python and adherence to software engineering best practices.
β’ Proficient SQL skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud data warehouses like BigQuery.
β’ At least 1 year of experience in developing LLM applications that are operational in production, beyond just prototypes.
β’ Experience in integrating hosted LLM APIs into production settings, including managing structured output and its validation.
β’ Knowledge in prompt engineering, prompt versioning, fallback strategies, and optimization of cost and latency.
β’ Experience in evaluating LLM output through test cases and established evaluation methodologies.
β’ Capability to comprehend and modify a partially documented codebase that you did not author.
β’ Proven use of AI tools in your daily workflow, with a definitive step to verify their outputs.
β’ Strong autonomy, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate ambiguity as requirements evolve.
β’ Proficiency in English at an advanced level.
β’ Experience in data migration or ETL projects is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with Vertex AI or Gemini is advantageous.
β’ Experience in extracting data from spreadsheets or documents is beneficial.
β’ Knowledge of MLOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and reproducible pipelines is a plus.
β’ Employees have the option to work remotely.
β’ A 6-month contractor framework is in place, with the potential for extension.
