AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, production-ready AI applications utilizing LLMs and contemporary AI frameworks.

• Create AI agents and automated workflows that integrate APIs, databases, tools, and existing systems.

• Develop and enhance RAG pipelines, which include document processing, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval techniques.

• Integrate and oversee LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS Bedrock through prompt engineering, structured outputs, and function calling.

• Build and sustain backend services and RESTful APIs for AI-driven applications and integrations.

• Establish AI evaluation frameworks and guardrails to ensure accuracy, consistency, safety, reliability, sensitive-data protection, and human escalation.

• Enhance AI application performance, response times, token usage, and infrastructure expenses.

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain AI services using cloud infrastructures, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to convert business requirements into AI-driven solutions.

• Investigate and assess emerging AI technologies, models, and frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 4 years of professional software engineering experience, with hands-on experience in developing AI/LLM applications.

• Strong expertise in Python and backend development frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.

• Practical experience in integrating LLM APIs, including providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar.

• Experience in creating production-focused LLM applications using prompting, structured outputs, and tool/function calling.

• Hands-on experience with AI agents and agentic workflows, utilizing frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent methodologies.

• Comprehensive understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, retrieval methods, and vector databases including pgvector, Pinecone, Milvus, or similar.

• Knowledge of AI evaluation, automated testing, hallucination mitigation, and prompt-injection risks.

• Experience with agentic AI architectures, agent harnesses, and iterative execution processes, encompassing tool orchestration, feedback loops, state management, and automated validation.

• Proficient in designing RESTful APIs, integrating databases, and developing backend services.

• Practical experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud computing environments.

• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and application monitoring.

• Knowledgeable about application security, data privacy, and responsible AI development practices.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to independently deliver AI features from prototype to production.

• Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work within Malaysia/Singapore time (GMT+8).
