AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy features for production systems that leverage AI/ML and LLM technologies.

• Implement and oversee components of the AI/ML and AI agent pipeline, spanning data ingestion to model deployment.

• Contribute to features powered by LLM, including prompt creation, evaluations, retrieval mechanisms, and tool integrations.

• Manage data preprocessing, feature engineering, and conduct basic evaluations to assess model and prompt effectiveness.

• Collaborate with engineers in a distributed, cross-functional team environment.

• Document experiments, outcomes, and decisions related to model development.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in team discussions.

• Take full ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring their completion from start to finish.

• Share insights and learnings from experiments and research with the larger team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Practical experience with AI/ML systems and generative AI development.

• Strong software engineering skills in Python or a similar programming language.

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Experience in building or contributing to agentic AI systems.

• Familiarity with AI frameworks and orchestration tools.

• Knowledge of evaluation and observability practices specific to LLM applications.

• Understanding of AI safety, responsible AI principles, prompt injection vulnerabilities, and handling of PII.

• Experience with RAG pipelines, including chunking techniques, embedding models, and vector databases.

• Proven experience in building or integrating with both internal and external APIs.

• Awareness of cost considerations related to LLM, including token economics and caching methods.

• Practical knowledge of Docker and some exposure to Kubernetes.

• Regular use of AI-centric coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
